Criteria For Consideration:
  • Enrolled as a full-time student for Spring Semester 2026
  • Declared major in the Field/College of Communications
  • 3.0 GPA (overall)
Interested Applicants Must Submit the Following:
1. Completed Application 2. Copy of latest transcript 2. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: a. Professor/Advisor b. Community Leader/Work or Internship Supervisor

Criteria for Consideration

  • Must be an African American high school senior graduating in 2026
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
  • Be involved in school activities and community service
  • Plan to enroll as a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school in Fall 2026

Interested Applicants Must Submit the Following:

  • A completed Application Form
  • One letter of recommendation:
  • From a school official (teacher, counselor, or administrator) or a mentor or community organization (mentor, coach, pastor, or employer)
  • School transcript, including first-semester senior year grades (a separate senior year report card may also be submitted if necessary)
  • An essay (500 words MINIMUM) responding to ONE of two essay prompts.
The scholarship recipient will receive the award in Fall 2026 after submitting proof of full-time enrollment at a college, university, or trade school.
Incomplete applications or applicants who do not meet the required criteria will be disqualified.
